Ana Colovic Lesoska

Ms. Ana Colovic Lesoska is holder BSc of Biology from the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University of Skopje. She has been working in the environmental civil society sector as a professional for almost 20 years.

With her background in biology and wide variety of training in international legislation and negotiations, international finance and environmental impact assessment, she has been serving as an Executive Director of the Center for environmental research and information “Eko-svest” since 2008.

With specific focus on advocacy and awareness raising, her 8 year long campaign to save Mavrovo National Park from the destructive hydropower plans has been recognised internationally when in 2019 she won the prestigious Goldman Environmental Award.
